Our Story: Guided by Instinct, Shaped by Vision
In August 1953, Nagarajan Ramamurthy was born in a tiny village called Srivanchiam in the hinterland of Tamil Nadu. His parents affectionately called him Ambi.
From an early age, Ambi’s hunger for knowledge set him on a path that led to Chennai, where his exceptional communication skills quickly landed him his first job. His love for books and learning expanded his vision, and by the late 70s, he found himself in the dynamic world of Sales and Marketing.
Ambi’s career skyrocketed, thanks to his passion for learning the dynamics of markets and customers in the 1990s as he led Sales and Marketing for iconic FMCG brands. When these brands underwent acquisitions, Ambi transitioned into advertising for a couple of years to learn the fundamentals of mass communication, laying the groundwork for his next move. In 2002, backed by his learnings and driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, he founded Brand Kare. Single-handedly, he began consulting for many SME brands across Tamil Nadu.
For over a decade, Ambi worked alone, crafting strategies that reflected his sharp instincts and deep market understanding. In 2014, he brought in trusted partners who had accompanied him on various stages of his journey, turning Brand Kare into a partnership firm. In 2015, Brand Kare became a proud member of the Market Research Society of India (MRSI).
Today, every innovative idea or strategic direction we offer at Brand Kare is deeply rooted in what we proudly call “Ambi’s Instinct” – a tribute to our founder’s vision and intuition. It is this instinct that guides us, inspiring the next generation of Brand Kare to push boundaries and create lasting impact for our clients.
