MARKET RESEARCH FOR EMERGENCY RESPONSE APP WITH HEALTH TRACKING INTEGRATION
Client
The client had developed an emergency response app designed to assist patients during medical emergencies.
Object
The primary objective was to assess the market potential of the emergency response app and understand the target audience’s health-tracking habits, concept acceptance, and interest in using the app.
Research Objectives
To provide comprehensive insights, the study was divided into three key modules:
- Health Tracking and Monitoring Habits: To gain insights into the existing health-tracking habits of potential users.
- Concept Evaluation: To assess the viability and perceived value of a health tracking emergency response app among the target audience.
- Interest and Acceptability: To evaluate the level of interest and willingness to adopt the app.
Research Approach
To provide a comprehensive understanding, the study was conducted in four key cities in Tamil Nadu:
- Locations: Coimbatore, Trichy, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur and Pondicherry
- Target Respondents: The survey focused on individuals with co-morbidities (such as diabetes, hypertension, heart conditions) or their caretakers, who play a significant role in managing health and responding to emergencies.
Methodology
A structured survey was used to gather responses, focusing on the following areas:
- Current health monitoring practices, including usage of wearable devices, apps, or regular health check-ups.
- Perceptions and reactions to the concept of an app that combines health tracking with an emergency response feature.
- Potential concerns, expectations, and desired features in an emergency response app.
- Willingness to adopt the app, with a focus on features like automated alerts to emergency contacts, real-time vital tracking, and integration with health professionals.
Outcome
The research indicated a promising market potential for the emergency response app. Many respondents indicated a strong willingness to adopt the app, viewing it as an essential safety net in case of emergencies. Caretakers, in particular, showed interest due to the peace of mind provided by real-time alerts and tracking capabilities.
